Kindergarten Registration -
2008-2009 School Year
Below is information that may be of use to you in
registering your child for kindergarten.
More complete information on what you
need to know as the parent of a new Kindergarten student
will be in our Kindergarten Handbook available at spring
registration, March 31st - April 4th.
Age of Admission:
To enter kindergarten, a child must be
five years old on or before August 31. (Note: Please call
your school if information is needed regarding early
entrance requirements. Child must be five years old on
or before October 31st to test for early entrance). For a list of elementary schools and

Where to Enroll:
Your child should be registered before
the first day of school at the school nearest your home. A
special week is set aside in the spring for registration of
kindergarten children. For the 2008-09 school year,
registration will be March 31st-April 4th. Unsure of what school your child

Records:
Your child's birth certificate or hospital birth record
is required when enrolling him/her in school. We are
required to use the child's legal name for his/her student
records.
What to Bring:
To register your child for school, please bring:

Child's birth certificate

Proof of address
(Government I.D., Power Bill, Property Tax Statement,
etc.)
