Bond Projects:
Citizen's Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Citizens
Advisory Committee (CAC) has now officially been recognized
by the Snohomish School District Board of Directors.
On November
9th, the CAC determined that their purpose is:
-
To represent the community in the overall
review of the project planning, design, implementation and use
of bond funds.
-
To provide constructive feedback on the
objectives and procedures in the management of the various
projects to the District Capital Projects Team.
-
To assist the District on its communications to
the community.
-
To report and make recommendations to the
Board.
The board approved CAC's purpose statement at its
December 1st meeting.
As a group, CAC elected
Jerry Litzenberger, a district parent and former member of the Citizen's
Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC), to be the head of the CAC.
CAC meets the second
Tuesday of every month from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. They use this time
to discuss all aspects of the new construction projects, and to have
their questions answered by district personnel or the architects.
There are 26 citizens
on the committee, and an additional five members are district staff.
Upon the request of CAC members, the architects will meet with them as
well.
If you would like to
talk to a CAC member, please contact Scott Hodgins, Executive Director
of Capital Projects at 360-563-7361, or
scott.hodgins@sno.wednet.edu.
He will pass your questions along to CAC at their next meeting.
