Maintenance and GroundsThe keepers of the grounds and buildings of the district do their best to uphold the tradition of high standards for maintenance, but maintenance of our facilities is something that our district is working hard to improve upon. The groundskeepers maintain a total of 168 acres of land and 17 facilities in the district. The historic high school campus with its large trees and plantings remains unique and is widely admired for its beauty. The maintenance and custodial staff of 36 full-time custodians staff working 2 shifts services 13 sites and takes care of over 23 acres of buildings, consisting of approximately 1,000,000 square feet of floor space. Facility UsageSchool facilities have been developed primarily to further the education of students. The facilities are also available to our community for other activities not in conflict with the regular school program. Please click here to go to our facility use page. Small Works RosterThe Small Work Roster is a listing of Washington State licensed contractors who have applied to be placed on the roster. The Small Works Roster helps reduce the cost of bidding small projects and makes it easier for contractors to compete for Public Works projects. Please click here to go to our small works roster page. Asbestos ManagementThe Snohomish School District is in compliance with the federal guidelines of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Asbestos in a non-friable state and left undisturbed presents no health hazard.
