June 2011 Update

City suspended the Conditional Use Permit. Corps of Engineers completed the JARPA review of the wetlands. Conditional Use Permit Hearing postposed to address community concerns. Design activities suspended. Meetings occurred with neighbors to discuss traffic concerns. Project analysis of energy modeling and operational costs continued.

 

May 2011 Update

City continued the Conditional Use Permit review. Corp. of Engineers continued the JARPA review for the wetlands. Design continued for the Early Sitework Package. Conditonal Use Permit Hearing was postponed to address community concerns. Community meetings held with the Glen Avenue neighbors. Advanced traffic study was completed to provide additional information to the Glenn Avenue neighbors. School Board requested the suspension of design to address operational cost concerns.

January 2011 Update

Formal design development estimate presented to the School Board. Early sitework package authorized by the School Board. Public meeting held on design status. Conditional Use Permit under review by the City. Continued the SEPA and Environmental Review. Continuing development of Corp. of Engineers documentation to the wetland.

February 2011 Update

November 2010 Update

Design development completed. Submitted Conditional Use Permit to the City. Presented to the City Design Review Board Oct.13. Continued the SEPA and Environmental Review. Developing Corp. of Engineers documentation due to wetland.

Design Development continues and focus meetings occurred to facilitate completion. Continued with SEPA and Environmental Review.

 

August 2010 Update

The Value Study findings have been presented to the Design Committee. The Schematic Design was presented to the Board on July 21. The Board authorized the start of Design Development and a construction budget increase of $1.325M. Continued with SEPA and Environmental Review.

 

July 2010 Update

A schematic design estimate was prepared, and estimate reconciliation began. The operational cost analysis was re-evaluated to reflect the schematic design. A third party value study was done to evaluate design options. SEPA and environmental review continued. A general update was presented to the Snohomish City Council on June 15.

 

June 2010 Update
Schematic design is complete. The Design Committee reviewed design and building system selection. Estimates are being prepared. Additional geotechnical borings and well were completed. Meetings have been held with the City to discuss various aspects of the plan.

May 2010 Update
The Design Committee approved Plan Development, and the Board has approved the Aquatic Center program. The traffic study, fire flow test, and wetland delineation have been completed. The Design Committee met May 6 to review structural, mechanical and electrical systems.

April 2010 Update
The wetland delineation survey and traffic study have been completed. The Design Committee met April 8th to discuss plan development. The design concept was presented to the board on April 7th, and a contract with Dull Olson Weekes Architects was approved at the same meeting. The Aquatic Center Program was presented to the board April 14th.

March 2010 Update
The Design Committee continues to discuss concept / program at the Maple Avenue campus. The traffic study and survey are almost complete. A geothermal test well has been drilled, and conductivity test results are under review.

February 2010 Update
The Design Committee continues to discuss concept / program at the Maple Avenue campus. The traffic study is almost complete. Additional geotechnical investigation was performed. RFQ’s for Architectural Services were received, and meetings were held with 4 firms. The committee recommended Dull Olson Weekes, and the board granted the request to start contract negotiations.

January 2010 Update
The Design Committee has continued to meet to discuss concept/program for the Maple Avenue Campus. Additional geotechnical and wetland studies were completed, and wetland issues are under review.

December 2009 Update
Schematic design and estimates have been reviewed for accuracy. The Hal Moe site failed to meet parking requirements, and the Design Committee is now discussing concepts for the Maple Avenue campus (former Snohomish Freshman campus). Much of the design work can be transferred to the new site. A geotechnical investigation was completed for the Maple Avenue campus, and a site orientation meeting was held with the city. The schematic design and estimate have been completed. An operational cost analysis based on the schematic design has also been completed. Design committee meetings were held to further develop design. The traffic study is on hold. A site orientation meeting was held with the City.

Schematic Design continues, and planning meetings have been held to further develop the concept. A traffic study continues, and a site orientation meeting was held with the city. A parking analysis has been completed.

August 2009 Update
Schematic Design continues, and planning meetings have been held to further develop the concept. A traffic study has begun, and a pre-application meeting was held with the City of Snohomish’s Planning and Development Department.

June 2009 Update:
Site selection analysis has been finalized. Planning meetings have been held to further develop the program/concept. Master use planning for the Freshman Campus is complete, and pool market/needs assessment is completed.

May 2009 Update:
Site selection analysis continues. Master use planning continues in regards to Freshman Campus. Pool operation research was completed, and the Sports Management Group has been selected to look into potential revenue opportunities for the Aquatics Center.
