District-wide Projects

Parkway - Completed Project
Using miscellaneous project funds from the 2008 bond, the north wing of Parkway has been remodeled to house the remainder of the alternative programs (Parent Partnership Program, Transition, and APEX Online Learning). Parkway serves as the home of the district’s Alternative Programs.

Parent Partnership Program (PPP) and the APEX Learning Lab were housed at Snohomish Freshman Campus. But the Freshman Campus is being used to house students from Machias, Riverview, and Valley View during their renovation projects.

The Capital Projects office is also now housed at Parkway. Previously Capital Projects held leased offices, so this provides cost savings for district construction projects. This area will eventually provide permanent space for the Transition program which is currently housed in the central area of the facility.

Future work will provide additional District meeting spaces, additional classroom spaces, as well as site improvements such as parking, recreation, and drainage.

January 2010 Update

The Parkway remodel was completed last summer, allowing the Parent Partnership Program to move out of the former Freshman Campus so Machias and Riverview students could move in.
