Snohomish High School Project Updates

December 2011 Update

• Completed the demolition of the old B Building.
• Continued owner training on the new systems.
• Completed the exterior punch-list for the current Set 4 work.
• Completed the back-punch for the D Building Addition.

November 2011 Update

• Completed the hazardous material abatement in the old B Building.

• Started demolition inside the old B Building.

October 2011 Update

• Started the contractor cleanup and set grades in the bus loop.
• Completed the exterior gates and fence installation.
• Completed the owner move-in activities.
• Started the exterior punchlist for all of Set 4 work.
• Started the backpunch for the D Building addition.
• Completed the owner salvage of items in the old B Building.

September 2011 Update

• Media Center - Completed the casework installation. Completed the final coat of paint. Completed the final cleaning and inspections. Generated the punch list.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Completed the final coat of paint. Completed mechanical, electrical and plumbing trim out. Completed the final cleaning and inspections. Generated the punch list.
• D Building - Started the back punch
• Other - Completed the promenade and sidewalk paving. Completed fencing and landscape installation.

August 2011 Update

• Media Center - Completed the interior framing. Continued the mechanical, electrical and pulmbing rough-in. Continued the glazing. Completed the brick veneer installation. Continued the GWB and taping. Continued priming and the first coat of paint on the first floor. Continued the ceiling grid installation. Continued the casework installation.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Completed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough in. Completed the storefront glazing system installation. Continued the painting. Completed the theatre rigging ad reflector installation. Continued the mechanical, electrical and and plumbing trim-out. Completed the ceiling grid installation.
• D Building - Completed the exterior painting.

July 2011 Update

• Media Center - Completed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-in. Installed the glazing. Completed the GWB and the taping. Completed the priming and first coat of paint. Completed the ceiling grid. Continued the casework installation. Installed the doors and hardware. Continued the final coat of paint.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Installed the doors and hardware. Continued the final coat of paint. Completed the installation of the seating. Completed the painting. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing trim-out continued. Completed the flooring.
• D Building - Punchlist continued.

June 2011 Update

• Media Center - Continued the interior framing. Continued the mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough in. Completed the mechanical screen. Continued the glazing installation. Continued the brick veneer installation.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Continued the mechainical, electrical and plumbing rough in. Cintinued the storefront glazing system installation. Completed the brick veneer. Continued painting. Completed the ceramic tile installation. Completed the casework installation. Continued the theatre rigging and reflector installation.
• D Building - Completed the final interior painting. Started the exterior painting. Continued work on the punchlist items. Completed the final cleaning.

April 2011 Update

• Media Center - Structural upgrades and steel erection completed. Interior framing continued. Roof deck repairs completed. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in continued.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Sheathing the exterior walls continued. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in continued. Storefront glazing system installation continued. Brick veneer continued. Framing and pouring continued.
• D Building - Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler ceiling trim out completed. Installed seismic joint. Floor preparation and carpet installation continued. Dumpster concrete work completed.

March 2011 Update

• Media Center - Continued the structural upgrades and steel erection. Completed the framing and metal dock at the second floor.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Completed the roof installation. Concrete slab poured. Completed framing the interior and exterior walls. Continued sheathing the exterior walls.
• D Building - Completed the MDF installation. Completed the ceiling grid installation. Completed installing casework.

February 2011 Update

• Media Center - Structural upgrades continued. Concrete slab was poured.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Concrete slab was poured. Started framing the interior and exterior walls. Started sheathing the exterior walls.
• D Building - Completed the metal siding and brick veneer. Completed the GWB installation. Completed two coats of paint on the interior walls. Started the MDF installation. Started the ceiling grid installation. Continued with the dumpster concrete work.

January 2011 Update

• Media Center - Structural upgrades continued. Concrete slab-on-grade poured.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Concrete slab was poured. Started the steel erection.
• D Building - Started the exterior concrete board siding, metal siding and brick veneer. Completed the exterior window installation. Started the drillwall installation.

December 2010 Update

• Media Center - Under-slab utility installation completed. Shot-crete completed for the first and second floors. Structural upgrades continued.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Concrete footings and stem wall pours completed. Damp/water proofing of footings and walls completed. Under-slab utility installation completed.
• D Building - Exterior wall sheathing and building wrap completed. Sprinkler rough-in completed on the first and second floors. Interior framing completed. The overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in completed on the first and second floors. 

November 2010 Update

• Media Center - Exterior stem wall forming and concrete pours continued. Under slab utility installation continued. Shoring installed for the structural upgrades. Shot-crete work continued on the first floor and began on the second floor.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Concrete footings and stem wall pours continued. Damp/water proofing of footings and walls continued. Under-slab utility installation continued.
• D Building - Exterior wall sheathing and building wrap continued. Sprinkler rough-in continued on the first floor. Interior framing continued and started sprinkler rough-in on the second floor.  

October 2010 Update

• Media Center - Helical foundation anchors installed. Shoring for structural upgrades installed. 
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Excavation and backfill completed. Continued forms for the concrete footings and stem walls. Started pouring concrete footings and stem walls.
• D Building - Fireproofing completed. Exterior wall framing completed. Roofing, exterior wall sheathing and building wrap began. Started the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler rough-in.
• Misc. - Safe travel paths and protection measures in place. Concrete work completed at the student plaza. 

September 2010 Update

• A Building - Window blind installation completed. Owner technology and display installation completed. Washed and sealed exterior brick. Concrete sidewalk installed.
• Main Gym - New bleachers installed. Wood floor striping and sealing completed. Exterior painting continued.
• Commons - Flooring completed. Concrete steps poured at Student Plaza.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Demolition completed. Import of structural fill began.
• Media Center - Demolition and hazmat abatement completed. Structural upgrades began.
• D Building - Structural steel and deck erection completed. Started concrete deck pours.

August 2010 Update

• A Building - Final cleaning, blind installation and technology installation continued. Exterior brick was washed and sealed. Started the concrete sidewalk installation. Mechanical equipment start-up and balancing continued.
• Main Gym - Old bleachers were removed and new bleacher installation began. Wood floor was sanded and first finish coat applied. Painting continued.
• Commons - Flooring and painting continued.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Haz-mat abatement and demolition continued.
• D Building Addition - Demolition continued. Footings were poured and steel erection started.

July 2010 Update

• A Building - Final cleaning and window blinds and technology installation continued, along with punch list work and wash and seal of the exterior brick.
• Auxiliary Gym - The Auxiliary Gym was completed and turned over to the district late in June.
• Commons - Abatement started, and overhead mechanical and electrical trim out continued.
• Performing Arts Center (PAC) - Move-out was completed. Haz-mat abatement and demolition began.
• D Building Addition - Site demolition has begun.

June 2010 Update

• A Building - Finishes were completed, and final cleaning has begun. Cleaning of the exterior brick veneer has begun, and final inspections continue.
• Auxiliary Gym -Final inspections are complete with the exception of the elevator. Final cleaning continues, and a Certificate of Occupancy was issued for the first floor.
• Commons -Taping of interior walls is complete in the commons and ASB conference room. Ceiling grid installation continues.

 May 2010 Update

• A Building - Whiteboard and tack board installation is ongoing. Floor tile installation has started on the first floor corridor. Door and hardware installation continued. Light shelves and carpet installation were completed on the 3rd floor. Painting continues. Exterior brick restoration and window installation continues.
• Auxiliary Gym - Bleachers and carpet flooring installation were completed. Mechanical equipment start-up and balancing continued.
• Commons - Exterior steel canopy erection continued. Skylight framing and installation were completed. Overhead mechanical and electrical rough-in continued.

April 2010 Update

• A Building - Exterior window installation is complete, and carpet installation is ongoing. Ceiling grid installation is complete on all floors, and painting continues on the third floor.
• Auxiliary Gym - Accordion door installation is complete in room G187. Mirror installation continues in the dance/aerobic/wrestling room, and weight room. Interior door and hardware installation continues. Floor tile installation is complete and waxed in the Auxiliary Gym and north and south main gyms corridors.

March 2010 Update
Interior painting of the first floor of A Building is complete, and painting continues on the second floor. Casework and ceramic tile installation have started on the first floor of A Building. Exterior window installation has started. Hardwood floor installation is complete in the Auxiliary Gym and has started in the dance, aerobic, wrestling room.

February 2010 Update

• A Building - Interior wall framing is almost complete and drywall installation has started on all floors.
• Auxiliary Gym -Exterior CFB board installation and drywall were completed. Interior painting and ceiling grid installation have started.

January 2010 Update

• A Building - Exterior openings are covered and dried-in; mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in have been started; interior wall framing is almost complete, and drywall installation has begun.
• Auxiliary Gym - Exterior CFB board and drywall installation are almost complete; windows were installed; storefront system installation has begun at gym entrances.

December 2009 Update
The roof is complete on the new A Building, and interior wall framing, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in are in progress. Exterior masonry and interior wall framing for the Auxiliary Gym are complete. Dry wall and cement fiberboard siding are in progress.

November 2009 Update
The north student parking lot is completed, and punch-list work is ongoing. A building slab on grade utility rough-in and shot-crete work were completed. Punch-list work on the kitchen and locker rooms is ongoing. The auxiliary gym roof, exterior framing and sheathing, and interior wall framing have been completed. Scaffolding has been erected for masonry work, and brick veneer installation began.

October 2009 Update
The north student parking lot was completed along with punch-list items. A building utility rough-in is ongoing. Lay out for wall framing has begun. Locker rooms and the kitchen are complete, and punch-lists were created. Main gym work was completed for the school year. The auxiliary gym concrete floors were poured, and roofing is nearly complete.

August 2009 Update
The north parking lot has been paved and striped. Fencing, irrigation, and landscaping is on-going. Promenade utility work is almost completed for this summer, and will be temporarily paved prior to school start. A Building demolition is complete, and utility work has begun. Locker room finishes are going in. The main gym ceiling is painted, and the building will be turned over late August. Kitchen equipment has been installed. The auxiliary gym steel erection is complete. Stadium track resurfacing and striping are complete.

June 2009 Update
Demolition of the old kitchen is near completion. Demolition of the locker rooms has begun. Footings have been dug for the new auxiliary gym. The Design Team is working on drawings and specifications for the next set.

May 2009 Update
Logistics meetings with the Project Team have become construction meetings. The temporary kitchen has been set up and food service is under way. A building permit for Building B IT has been received, and the work was awarded to I.M.A.C. Pre-bid walk-throughs and bid process workshops for upcoming bid packages continue. The Design Team is working on Set 4 drawings and specifications.

April 2009 Update

The project team continues to meet to work out logistics issues. Drawings are complete and under review by the County Health Department for temporary food serving area and overall plans including permanent kitchen / food serving area. Bids from Lydig Construction Inc. have been accepted for locker rooms and auxiliary gym concrete and steel, locker rooms general construction and finishes, and kitchen general construction and finishes.

March 2009 Update

Drawings are complete and under review by the City for the temporary food serving area. Bargreen Ellingson was awarded the bid for the kitchen equipment package. Library and gym bleacher designs were finalized.
