New technology supports improved student learning
Document camera, projectors, media players, and smart boards are included in the classroom technology provided by the 2008 bond to support improved student learning. When technology upgrades are completed, all schools will meet district standards.
Our goal is to support enhanced learning through visual, audio, and tactile technology. We also want to increase access to information and support collaboration between teachers anUpdated subject areas.
As of summer 2010, all elementary and secondary schools not otherwise included in Capital Projects have been upgraded to district technology standards.
What's next: A new program called Data Dashboard will be implemented soon to help teachers assess students' learning styles and levels at the start of school. The program will also help students monitor their own learning progress.
Fall of 2010, high school students will have access to email, texting, and forums through a program called Gaggle.
