The School Supplies in a Backpack Program is getting support from a local church through the “Brunch for Backpacks” fundraiser. The brunch will be held on Sunday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 329 Avenue A.
The School Supplies in a Backpack Program is a partnership between the Snohomish School District and the Snohomish Community Food Bank, serving the students attending schools in Snohomish.
Thrivent Lutheran Services has pledged a 50% match to all of the funds raised the day of the brunch for the Snohomish Community Food Bank, specifically for the School Supplies in a Backpack Program.
The menu includes pancakes, french toast, breakfast casserole, fruit, assorted pastries, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The suggested donation is only $10/per person or $25/family of four. Join your friends and neighbors for a fine meal in support of a worthy program.
