Cooking contest winners announced
A group of district 4th-6th graders recently participated in the district's "Kids Can Cook" Cooking Contest. More than 45 recipes were submitted, and 18 were selected as finalists. Student finalists prepared their recipes for judges on March 29 at Glacier Peak High School. Their recipes can be found in the 2011 "Kids Can Cook" Cookbook.
Winners were:
- Kid-Friendly Preparation - School of Fish by Gladi-Rose Goodwin (4th grader at Riverview Elementary)
- Fun Foods - Peanut Butter Dates by Bethany Shade (5th grader at Cascade View Elementary)
- Health-Conscious Foods - Secret Smoothies by Ame Bridgman (6th grader at Cascade View Elementary)
- Judge's Choice - Chicken Enchilada by Jared Pearson (6th grader at Dutch Hill Elementary)
