Students must register at the school they will attend prior to attending school. For information about which school your child should attend, call the Transportation Department at 360-563-3525.
Elementary School
Students entering kindergarten or first grade must be five or six years old, respectively, on or before August 31. (See information below regarding Early Entrance.) All students registering for kindergarten should bring their birth certificate and immunization record. See below for more information on kindergarten registration.
Secondary School
All students registering for secondary schools need their immunization record and withdrawal sheet or report card from their previous school. A birth certificate is requested.
Kindergarten registration opens during the previous school year, traditionally the last full week in March. Parents are encouraged to register their children for school at that time. A Kindergarten Handbook will be available to provide information about the District's kindergarten program and to help parents prepare their children for starting school.

Where to Enroll

Records
Your child's birth certificate or hospital birth record is needed when enrolling him/her in school. We are required to use the child's legal name for his/her student records.

Please call your school for information regarding early entrance requirements and timelines. A child must be five years old on or before October 31st to test for early entrance. Early entrance test results must be in the Teaching and Learning Services office no later than August 15, 2011.
