The Snohomish School District is located in Snohomish County in the State of Washington in the United States of America.
We are nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, a short drive from either the blue waters of the Puget Sound or the snow-capped Cascade Mountains. Located only 30 miles north of Seattle, Snohomish is a charming semi-rural community with easy access to the cultural and entertainment events of the greater Seattle area.
The district serves approximately 9,500 students in grades K through 12 within an area that encompasses 165 square miles and over 30,000 residents.
The Snohomish School District has an outstanding staff of 929 full and part-time employees. This includes 542 teaching staff (certificated) and 387 classified staff. Our teachers have an average of nearly 13 years’ experience; 56% have at least a Master’s degree, and all are highly qualified as defined by “No Child Left Behind.”
The district consists of three high schools, two middle schools, ten elementary schools, a alternative programs for secondary students, and a cooperative program for home-school families.
