Dear Parents and Friends of Snohomish Schools,
I am delighted to work together with you this year as partners in your children's education. Our primary mission is to focus on the learning that takes place in our classrooms, but schools also have the responsibility to teach students how to be involved in our communities, and how to be citizens in our democracy.
We encourage our students of every age to be involved in decision-making and leadership in school, and we model continuous learning and open, transparent decision-making. Together, we can continue to learn how to make a better, stronger community in which our students can learn and grow.
Thanks to voter support of our capital projects bond in May of 2008, the District will continue to renovate and build schools for our students, using energy efficient and low maintenance materials and systems for sustainable buildings and reduced operations costs. These projects will provide better learning environments for our students and staff. They will also bring millions of dollars into our local economy.
Your involvement in our schools reinforces and recognizes the effotts of our staff and students, and I'd like to thank you, in advance, for your continued support and participation.
Have a great year!
William A. Mester, Ph.D
