Welcome to the Snohomish School District. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing to substitute in our school District. As a substitute para-educator, you play an important role in the educational process of our District.
Once you have completed the application process you will be notified of your user name and password for the Substitute Online home page, which is the software program that we use to fill classroom assignments. Please take time to navigate through the training document to become familiar with how to use the system and with our policies and procedures.
Please review the Substitute Para-Educator Substitute Online Training document, and save a copy of the Para-Educator Handbook to your desktop or print for quick access. Please don’t hesitate to contact the substitute office or human services department if you have questions. Our contact information is listed in the handbook and on the website.
Shortly after you are hired you will receive an e-mail from SafeSchools. You may begin subbing prior to completion of this training. However, this requirement must be satisfied within 14 days in order to continue subbing for Snohomish School District. If you have satisfied this with another district or employer in Washington State, please forward proof of the class to guest.teaching@sno.wednet.edu or mail a copy to our office.

It is your responsibility to understand our policies and procedures. You will receive an email through SafeSchools for mandatory training which includes Board policies.
