Emerson Elementary staff facilitates learning in a comprehensive basic academic program of communication skills, mathematics, science, social studies, health, physical education, study skills and fine arts. In addition, the students are provided with remedial and enrichments activities. Students receive weekly instruction in library media skills and twice weekly instruction in music and physical education.
Emerson also offers an academically capable class for students in grades 4-5-6; a Title/LAP program for students who need additional help in math and reading; and a resource room program for students who have Individualized Education Plans. Services are available for students with speech, language, vision, hearing, and physical/occupational disabilities, and for students with counseling needs. Band is offered for sixth grade students.
