Will Little Cedars Elementary have
both AM and PM Kindergarten? If so, can I select which session my child
attends?
Yes, Little Cedars Elementary will have both AM and PM Kindergarten. Once the
Kindergarten registrations are complete, bus routes will be determined based
upon the number of Kindergarten students in each neighborhood. If a parent
would like their child to attend a session other than the one designated for
their neighborhood, and space is available in that classroom, the student
may be enrolled in that class, providing that the parents are willing to
transport their child to and from school. To be clear, transportation will
not be provided if you request to attend a Kindergarten session that is
different from the session assigned by the District.
Will Little Cedars Elementary have All-Day Kindergarten?
Yes, Little Cedars Elementary will have a tuition-based All-Day
Kindergarten program (if there is adequate interest). As in all of our elementary schools, All-Day Kindergarten
at Little Cedars Elementary is not available on a first-come, first-served
basis. Parents wishing to enroll their child in All-Day Kindergarten will
register their child during the registration period. If more students register
for All-Day Kindergarten than there is space available, then a lottery will be
held to determine which students will be in this program. Once the program is
full, there will be space available in the AM or PM session as specified above.
