New Elementary School Update

What has happened at the new elementary school site this month?

  • Crews have been installing underground water and sewer lines.  (See photo below, dated May 24, 2007).

 

  • Crews are widening Cathcart Way and installing traffic signals.  (See photo below, dated May 24, 2007).

 

  • The Multipurpose Room and Gymnasium are being painted.  (See photo below, dated May 24, 2007).

 

  • Cabinets and carpet are being installed in the Library.  (See photo below, dated May 24, 2007).

 

  • Cabinets and carpet are also being installed in the Administration Areas.  (See photo below, dated May 29, 2007).

 

  • Crews have installed cabinets in the Staff Lounge.  (See photo below, dated May 29, 2007).

Other projects that have been completed:

  • Storefronts and glazing
  • Hung doors and installed door hardware
  • Paint and ceiling grid in Music Room
  • Ceramic tile and toilet fixtures in all bathrooms
  • Installed toilet partitions.
  • Siding of exterior walls of the Academic Building.

 What will happen in the coming weeks at the new elementary school site?

  • Sidewalks and asphalt paving on Cathcart Way.
  • Curbs, gutters and sidewalks on 144th Pl SE.
  • Complete water and sewer underground utilities.
  • Place and finish concrete stairs, walls and sidewalks in the Courtyard Area.
  • Complete interior lighting, Heating and plumbing work.
  • Complete paint, carpeting, toilet accessories and cabinet work.
  • Install Smartboards, sound enhancement systems and ceiling mounted projectors.
  • Install siding on Activities Building.
