Cathcart Elementary provides a comprehensive academic program geared to the needs of each individual student. Emphasis is placed upon the acquisition of basic skills and abilities which will enable each student to become a successful member of society in a rapidly changing world. Classrooms are configured in self-contained, multi-age and/or team teaching formats. A variety of supple-mental instructional programs, including Special Education, Learning Assistance Program and the Highly Capable classroom, help meet a broad range of student needs in a very successful manner. In addition, all students participate in a program of regular instruction in physical education, music and library skills.
