Central Primary School emphasizes a comprehensive K-2 academic program designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Our classroom teachers are supported by a librarian, physical education specialist and music specialist. In addition to the above programs, Central is dedicated to each child's acquisition of strong basic reading skills. Central Celebrates Reading is a year-long program of events and activities designed to promote increased achievement in reading. The program includes Family Reading Nights, Accelerated Reader, after school reading club, summer Jump Start, special assemblies, school-wide reading goals, collaboration with the Snohomish Public Library, Snohomish High School, Americorps and local businesses. Central values and promotes regular attendance. Throughout the 1998-99 school year, the average daily attendance exceeded 93%.
