About Totem Falls Elementary

  • Dear Totem Falls Raven Families,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits, enjoying the wonderful summer weather we've been blessed with. Summer always seems to pass by quickly, but it provides a great opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones, embark on adventures, or visit new and exciting places. Personally, I had the chance to travel to Iceland with my two sisters, and it was an incredible experience that allowed us to bond and create lasting memories together.

As the new principal of Totem Falls Elementary, I would like to take this moment to introduce myself and share some details about my background. Although I regret not having the opportunity to meet most of you in person before the end of the 2022-2023 school year, I am eagerly looking forward to meeting each and every one of you soon!

Professionally, this marks my first year as an elementary principal. However, I bring with me 15 years of experience in the field of education, with the majority of that time spent within the Lake Washington School District. For the last 10 years, I served as a school counselor, and more recently, I held the position of Associate Principal at Bell Elementary and two years at Mead Elementary. Working with elementary students is a passion of mine because I get to witness their growth into independent young adults and develop strong connections with both students and the community. I firmly believe that school should be an enjoyable and positive experience for all students, and I am not opposed to engaging in some lighthearted silliness to bring joy to Totem Falls.

Outside of work, I enjoy spoiling my two cats, Buddy and Camden. I also have a love for the outdoors and enjoy activities such as walking, hiking, and paddle boarding. Recently, I've developed an interest in gardening. Traveling is another passion of mine, particularly when it means spending time with my niece and nephew in Arizona, where I get to relish the joys of being an aunt.

I am eagerly looking forward to the start of this school year. I've heard about the wonderful traditions at Totem Falls, and I cannot wait to be a part of them and experience the school's vibrant community. I am deeply grateful for the trust you've placed in me as your students' principal, and I am eager to get to know each and every one of you!

    Go Ravens!
