4th-6th graders invited to submit recipes for annual contest
The 2024-2025 Kids in the Kitchen/Jr. Chef Competition is back and is open to all Snohomish School District 4th - 6th grade students. Students are invited to submit recipes for their favorite after-school snacks. The recipes, which must be submitted by Friday, December 13, do not have to be original. A student may submit multiple recipes. They can be family recipes or from cookbooks, the internet, etc.

K-3 highly capable program information
If your student is currently in grades K-2 and you are interested in your student receiving highly capable services to include learning opportunities with more depth, complexity, and acceleration in the classroom please be aware of the following information. Students currently identified for highly capable services in Snohomish School District do not need to go through the referral process. Students in 3rd grade will have the opportunity for referral in the Spring Highly Capable Referral Window.

Panther Pals sign-ups open through October 18
Panther Pals sign-ups are open through Friday, October 18. Panther Pals is a mentoring program between Snohomish High School students and 4th through 6th grade students from the elementary schools that feed into Snohomish High School - Cascade View Elementary, Central Emerson Elementary, Dutch Hill Elementary, Machias Elementary and Riverview Elementary. Fall conference week (October 21-25) information
This year’s fall teacher conferences will be held the week of October 21. See the information in the full article for school-specific conference details. Tuesday, October 22 through Friday, October 25, are half-day early release for elementary.

Welcome to ParentSquare - District rolling out new communication tool for 2024-2025 school year
We are excited to announce that we have launched a new system for school-to-home communication in the Snohomish School District called ParentSquare. ParentSquare is designed to streamline school district and school communication, keep families informed, and encourage greater engagement and connection with our schools and district. The best part of ParentSquare is that it offers translation in more than 100 languages and allows families to customize when and how they want to receive communication.

Bus routes & schedules now available in My Ride K-12
My Ride K-12 provides quick access to your child's routing information, which can include the bus stop, route, and bus number. This is accessible on mobile devices, and confidential and secure. This program can be accessed via the web or mobile app and is free to download and use.
