About Dutch Hill Elementary

  • Welcome to Dutch Hill Elementary, home of the Hawks! We are located just north of the City of Snohomish and are part of the Snohomish School District. Our teachers, support staff and parents work together to help every student become the best they can be in a safe, friendly, fun community.

    Our school has about 650 kindergartners through 6th graders. Our students will attend Centennial Middle School in 7th and 8th grade and Snohomish High School in grades 9 though 12.

    Our Aim Statement
    The purpose of Dutch Hill Elementary is to maximize each individual's academic growth through research-based learning opportunities and assessments aligned to state standards. 

    Our Mission Statement
    The Dutch Hill staff will strive to involve students, parents, and the community in creating a safe and supportive environment. As educators, we will equip children with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to reach their potential as life-long learners and respectful citizens. 

    Student Program
    Dutch Hill Elementary provides a comprehensive K-6 academic program designed to meet the individual needs of our students in the content areas of reading, writing, communication skills, mathematics, science, social studies, health, study skills and the fine arts. We have a variety of teaching configurations, including single grade, multi-grade, and academically split grade level classrooms. Students at Dutch Hill receive weekly instruction in library media skills and twice weekly instruction in music and physical education. Our students are offered a variety of experiences with technology. Each classroom has current technology and access to the Internet. Band is offered for 6th grade students each morning before school begins.

    Dutch Hill offers an academically capable classroom for students in grades 4/5/6; a Title/LAP program for students who qualify for additional assistance in reading and math; a resource room special education classroom for students requiring an individualized education plan. Additional services are available for students with speech, language, vision, hearing, and physical/occupational disabilities and for students with counseling needs.
