Totem Falls Elementary
Totem Falls Elementary is the center of The Falls and Gold Creek neighborhoods and serves 550 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Built in 1991, the school is located in the south end of Snohomish School District on Snohomish Cascade Drive. The community consists of supportive families, dedicated teachers and hard-working students.
Totem Falls provides an inclusive academic program for students in the content areas of reading, writing, mathematics, communications, library, science, social studies, health, fitness, music and art. In addition to the twenty-one general education classrooms, Totem Falls has two classrooms serving developmentally delayed students and offers a highly capable program for students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades. One full-day, tuition based kindergarten classroom is offered to families, as well as one half day kindergarten session. Additional services are available, for students who qualify, in the resource room, physical/occupational therapy, speech/language, counseling and English language development.
Our focus remains in the areas of mathematics, writing and reading and is ongoing and evolving. Periodic analysis of classroom-based assessment data, together with regular progress reports by team leaders, will document our progress and guide our work. We strive to incorporate technology into all academic areas. Through professional development, collaboration and community involvement, we have defined our work to
improve student learning.
