Senior Exit Survey
We are asking all seniors complete the Senior Exit Survey! The survey has three parts:
- Final Transcript request (what are your plans for next year)
- What academic awards did you earn and what scholarships are you accepting (this information is used for the Senior Recognition Night – if scholarships and awards are not reported we won’t know to honor you for them).
- GPHS questions and feedback
Please take the senior exit survey here: https://forms.office.com/r/CR2x8x8DkL
The survey closes on May 10, 2021.
Graduation Materials Pick-Up
Jostens will be distributing graduation materials on May 7, 2021 in the bus loop from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p..m. This will include all items students and families have ordered (caps, gowns, announcements etc.)
Class of 2021 Graduation Ceremony
This year’s ceremonies for our Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School graduates will be in-person events held on Tuesday, June 15, at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe. Per Governor Inslee’s indoor/outdoor spectator and social distancing graduation requirements, we would not be able to accommodate all attendees and their guests at Angel of the Winds Arena or our own Veterans Memorial Stadium. As a result, we needed to find a larger, available venue. The Evergreen Speedway was available for our ceremonies on Tuesday, June 15.
Our graduation ceremony will also be available online through live stream.
It is important that we all continue to abide by safety protocols so we can continue to enjoy the re-opening of our community and the opportunity to celebrate our students. In the coming days and weeks, your principal will be providing more details as we plan the celebration.
Senior Community Service
The district has made the decision to waive the senior community service requirement for the class of 2021. The expectation is for the requirement to be re-instated for future graduating classes.
Class of 2021 High School and Beyond Plan
Seniors, you received an email on Friday, December 4, 2020 with instructions to complete and submit your High School and Beyond Plan. We have been working on your High School and Beyond Plan each year in the form of a yearly guidance lesson from your counseling department. Students have used various tools to take skill assessments and interest surveys. To retake surveys or access post-high school tools please see our career planner page. By twelfth grade it is required by state law that you complete the final steps to your high school and beyond plan which includes:
- Identify your graduation pathway (meet with your counselor one on one)
- Receive FAFSA/WASFA information
- Create a resume or activity log (submit a resume if you already have one)
You may access the High School and Beyond Plan here or on the 2021 Canvas Page. Submit the plan: upload to the 2021 canvas page (assignment High School and Beyond Plan), email to email@example.com, email to your counselor, or bring a printed copy to Glacier Peak High School.
