College in the High School

  • The College in the High School program allows students to earn college credit through a local community college for courses they are taking at the high school. Course offerings are determined by the community college. Tuition is offered free this year. There is a process that you need to go through to earn that credit, producing a college transcript. Your classroom teachers will go over the expectations with you. You must apply and register. See dates and deadlines below.

Students interested in seeking to earn college credit through an EvCC College in the High School (CHS) class are responsible for officially applying and registering with EvCC. Students are required to register on or before the registration deadline for each corresponding class. Registration for college credit occurs at the beginning of the college course or content.

Credits are transferrable to all public and most private in-state colleges and universities. It is advisable to check with admissions offices of out-of-state and private institutions to which the student is applying before enrolling and spending money on tuition.
