Welcome to Facility Use & Rentals
-
Our facilities are available for community use when such use is not in conflict with school operations and in accordance with board policies. Gyms, cafeterias, fields, conference rooms, libraries and performing arts centers are all available for community use at nominal fees to cover costs. Fees are charged on a scale depending on the specific facility and the renter. The lowest fees are charged for non-profit organizations sponsoring activities for children and youth.
All school-related activities shall be given priority in the use of facilities and grounds. Therefore, the use shall be based on availability of facilities. The calendar will open to community organizations at the start of our fiscal year on September 1. Please note that all district facilities and grounds are closed on district observed holidays. Requests that fall upon a district holiday or district event will be denied.
Facility reservation process
We use an interdistrict calendar that allows individual schools to coordinate with the district's facility use department. While there are various calendars available on the websites, they do not show most of the individual school events (i.e. basketball practice, theater rehearsal, soccer practice, club events, etc.)The first step is to fill out the facility use application appropriate for your event (building use, field use, or performing arts centers use) and make sure to put your preferred date and an alternative date. This will help us speed up the process. After you have completely filled out the application, please submit the application to the facility use department. Once we receive your application, we will review it and check to see if all the information is completed. We will then check to see if the date is available, and notify the selected school to double-check for conflicts. If there is a conflict, we will then look at alternative dates. Once we have an opening, a member of our facility use team will contact you with any further questions, along with a confirmation of your reservation. All applications must be received at the district at least 10 business days in advance of the requested date. Groups are not permitted to enter the facility prior to the agreed start time. If you require additional time to set up and breakdown your event, your request shall include that time in your application. For non-profit organizations, please submit a copy of your 501C3 Letter of Approval in order to receive the non-profit rate.
Please do not contact individual schools to ask for availability. The district cannot guarantee approval on all submitted application requests. All requests are based on availability. Gym and field use are scheduled seasonally for all groups.
