About our district
The Snohomish School District is the 19th largest district in Washington State and serves approximately 10,000 students in grades K through 12. Our geographic area encompasses 128 square miles and more than 30,000 residents. The Snohomish School District consists of two high schools, two middle schools, 10 elementary schools, a preschool, an alternative learning program for secondary students, a cooperative program for home-school families and a world-class aquatic facility. One of our two high schools – Snohomish High School – is a six-time winner of Evening Magazine’s viewer poll for Best School Spirit! We are a district committed to exploring and applying ways to assure that each student is successful. The Snohomish School District, which is the 19th largest district in Washington state, serves approximately 10,000 students in grades K through 12. About 51% of students are male and 49% female. Students come from a wide ethnic background - 78.9% white, 9.7% Hispanic./Latino, 3.8% Asian, 1.1% Black/African American, .7% American Indian/Alaskan Native, .2% Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander and 5.5% two or more races. About 21% of our students participate in the free/reduced-price meal program and about 13% participate in the district's special education programs.About our staff
The Snohomish School District has an outstanding staff of full- and part-time employees. This includes about 615 certificated staff and about 550classified staff. Our teachers have an average of 15 years’ experience, and 67% have at least a Master’s degree.The Snohomish School District offers a generous compensation and employee benefit program. Our certificated staff are among the top-paid districts in the state ranking 3rd in a recent teacher salary survey.

Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate, with proper endorsement(s) in assigned area(s).

Support Staff
Support staff include a variety of roles in Snohomish School District. They work in schools and in our district office to keep things running and to provide strong support. Support staff are assigned to a specific role, including administrative assistant, executive administrative assistant, and network technicians, district office supervisors and staff.
Support staff positions range from 180-day (school year) to 260-day (annual) contracts. Staff are eligible for benefits if they are contacted for 630 or more hours per year.

Paraeducators
Paraeducators perform a variety of tasks. This position works closely with teachers and other staff members as part of a team in supporting student learning. Paraeducators provide instructional and/or non-interactive activities to help students who need extra support. They often work one-on-one with students inside and outside the classroom.
Paraeducators are assigned to a specific role. These include:
- Occupational or physical therapy assistant
- Life skills
- Library technician

Facilities
Snohomish School District serves approximately 9,500 students who attend our 16 schools. Join our facilities team to help ensure every student has a safe and supportive environment to learn.
Facilities and maintenance has a variety of jobs we hire for, including:

Bus Drivers
Be one of the first faces our students see every day! We are recruiting bus drivers to provide safe and reliable transportation for our students and to help us meet critical transportation needs to and from school, as well as provide opportunities for field trips and other educational programs. As a substitute driver, you are eligible to apply for a permanent position. We hire permanent drivers from the substitute pool.

Minimum qualifications
Candidates need a minimum of five years of driving experience, an excellent driving record and must be able to pass Department of Transportation physical, alcohol and drug tests, and pass FBI and Washington State Patrol background checks.Training
Snohomish School district provides free training. Upon completion of the training, you will have a class B Commercial drivers license with a passenger endorsement and school bus driver endorsement and school bus driver authorization.
