The Snohomish School District believes that district facilities are a community resource and all children and youth in the district shall have equal opportunity to access facilities within the district through community organizations.
Our facilities are available for community use when such use is not in conflict with school operations and in accordance with board policies. Gyms, cafeterias, fields, conference rooms, libraries, and performing arts centers are all available for community use at nominal fees to cover costs. Fees are charged on a scale depending on the specific facility and the renter. The lowest fees are charged for non-profit organizations sponsoring activities for children and youth.
Requests for facility use must be made at least 15 days in advance. Due to the high volume of calls, we cannot give confirmation of bookings or check on the status of applications over the phone.
Once permission has been given to use the facility, a permit will be issued. We prefer to send the permit to you through email, so please ensure that your email address is on the application. If you do not have an email address, your permit will be mailed.Authorization for use of school facilities shall not be considered as endorsement or approval of the activity, group, or organization or the purpose they represent. Such use will be only at such times as the facilities requested are free from district curricular and extracurricular activities. The district reserves the right to deny or cancel any application for use when such use or meeting may in any way be prejudicial to the best interest of the schools or for which satisfactory sponsorship is not provided.
Only applications that include an approved certificate of insurance will be considered. If you are unclear as to whether or not your group needs to have insurance, please contact us. For more detailed information regarding use of our facilities, you may call the facility use office at 360-563-7332 or Melody Gillette.
