Career Guidance: High School & Beyond Planning

  • Formulating a Beyond High School plan is part of Washington State's graduation requirements. Each year, students will be working on this plan, either in a group or individual setting.

    Freshmen - Tech X and transitions teachers will work with school counselors to help freshmen students create the first draft of their Beyond High School plans.  

    Sophomores - Sophomores students will receive two lessons from the school counselors during their English classes. First semester will focus on a career search, while second semester will focus on updating their Beyond High School plans.

    Juniors - Junior students will receive two lessons from the school counselors during their history classes.First semester will focus on the college search and second semester will focus on updating their Beyond High School plans.

    Seniors - Senior students will receive two lessons at the beginning of the school year during their government classes from the school counselors. The first lesson will focus on the college application process and the second lesson will focus FAFSA, financial aid and scholarships.
