The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) career assessment test is provided at least once a year at Snohomish HIgh School, at no charge to students. The duration of the test will last for one to three hours, depending on the student. Results from this test may spur students into a specific program of study at an institution or guide them onto a career pathway. The test is divided into sections, much like the ACT/SAT. The sections are divided into math, English and vocational. The results will be interpreted by an ASVAB Career Exploration Program personnel at Snohomish High School a few weeks after the test. For students considering a military career, this test is also used as an assessment tool for job placement. Military personnel are involved in administering this test.
