In order to administer the district rapid antigen tests, the state has mandated an online recording mechanism through a tool called SimpleReport. As part of the district testing process, parents/guardians must enroll in the online registration tool at this link https://simplereport.gov/register/7X3HQ or www.sno.wednet.edu/simplereport prior to testing (see testing priority above). This online registration must be completed in order for our schools to administer the rapid antigen testing. In completing the online registration, parents/guardians or individuals (if ages 18 and older) will provide consent for this type of testing in our schools and district facilities. All information will be maintained by the Washington State Department for Health and is strictly confidential.
Our school administrators, nurses and other trusted adults in our schools have been trained to observe the specimen collection and the results. At this time, our district is using the BinaxNOW COVID–19 (manufactured by Abbott), CareStart (manufactured by AccessBio) or BD Veritor rapid antigen tests.
Anyone who tests positive will be sent home immediately to isolate for the appropriate number of days. Positive results will be communicated to the Washington State Department of Health and the Snohomish Health District.
Through our online Self-Reporting Tool, students and staff can report if they or their student have tested positive for COVID-19. All positive cases of COVID-19 should continue to be reported to the school nurse or principal so we can provide guidance and support.
Those who test positive for COVID-19 outside of the school setting should also self-report through one of the following DOH tools:
- Use the WANotify App to report positive result.
- Contact the DOH COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127, then press #, to report the positive result from an over-the-counter test.
