August 31, 2021 Staff Letter

  • SSD Staff:

Thank you to those of you who have provided proof of your vaccination status and turned in your attestation form to the RSC. It is greatly appreciated!

If you have not yet done so, you are encouraged to drop by the RSC prior to the start of school and get this done. We know how busy we will all be once school starts, so why not get it out of the way now!

If you have been waiting for the medical exemption form, it is now available. Attached is medical exemption form, developed by OSPI and tailored to our district. Also attached is the religious exemption form, should you wish to request an exemption based on a sincerely held religious belief.

Please note that even if you plan to seek an exemption, the Attestation Vaccination Status Form must be turned in by all staff members.

Whether you are seeking a medical or religious exemption, please have your paperwork to Human Resource Services no later than Wednesday,September 8. Employees can expect an interactive process at the beginning of the process to determine whether the circumstances qualify under the exemption requirements. Then, if the exemption is approved, there may be the need to further engage to determine whether an effective, reasonable accommodation exists to allow the staff member to perform the essential functions of their job. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Please take time to submit your vaccination card or request for exemption form along with your attestation to provide ample time for Human Resource Services to plan. We want to be able to plan appropriately so that we are staffed to meet the needs of our students who are depending on us!

    Working through this together,
    Human Resource Services
