2020 Bond Videos

Note: The below proposed $470 million school funding measure was NOT approved by voters during the February 11, 2020, election.

What’s on the February 11 ballot for Snohomish School District? Why does the district need to ask voters to consider a capital bond? Get your questions answered and watch our new videos to learn why we need a bond for our students and how those tax dollars help Snohomish School District build for our students’ future.

If approved, the February bond will fund the rebuilding of six of our oldest elementary schools, additional classrooms at Glacier Peak High School, and the creation of an early learning center. Central Primary Center and Emerson Elementary would be combined into one new K-6 facility on the Emerson site. By rebuilding six schools, our district will ensure that every student has the space they need to grow and access to a high-quality learning environment. Improvements to the Parkway Campus, home to our alternative learning programs, such as AIM High School and Parent Partnership Program, and improvements to the district’s maintenance and transportation facilities are also included. The bond also funds safety and security improvements throughout the district to ensure all our students and staff are safe. These improvements include exterior digital access control, internal access control, and new camera systems.
