Obtaining A Parking Permit
- Lottery results and the parking wait list will be posted on the window near the Glacier Peak High School flagpole after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23.
- Students eligible to purchase a parking permit must do so prior to 2 p.m. on Friday, September 6. Eligible students who do not pay by this date will be removed from the parking wait list making parking accessible to others on the wait list.
How does a student get a parking permit?
Student parking permits for the 2019-2020 school year may be purchased at Student Start-Up (August 20 and August 21) by seniors for $75 (sales tax included). Due to student interest and availability of parking spaces, seniors with a driver’s license have first priority in purchasing permits at their scheduled start-up time. Students will need their payment, driver’s license and completed student parking contract including parent signature. Students may only purchase their own permit, however a student’s parent may purchase their student’s permit in the student’s absence by providing the previously stated information. Senior students unable to attend start-up may ask to be placed on a parking list by calling 360-563-7502 (include your driver’s license number) by the end of the day August 23.
- A completed student parking contract including parent signature is needed prior to receiving the parking pass.
- All fines and fees, including breakfast/lunch accounts) must be paid prior to parking pass purchase.
- Be prepared to show you valid driver's license at the time of parking pass purchase.
Juniors with a driver’s license will be able to sign up for a parking lottery for the remaining spaces through their scheduled registration times. During the start-up dates, interested juniors will report to the parking table at the front office to add their names to the parking lottery list by showing their driver’s license. Students may only sign up if they are in possession of a driver’s license at the time of lottery sign up. Juniors who are unable to attend start-up and would like to have their name added to the parking lottery must provide proof of driver’s license by email or photo copy submitted by self or parent to Ms. Flores by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23. We will not be accepting phone calls adding your student to the list. Specific position on this list will not affect the likelihood of receiving a parking permit – this will be a random drawing. Lottery results will be posted outside the main office, after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23. Students who won the opportunity to purchase a parking permit will be able to purchase a parking permit through September 6 by providing payment ($75 - sales tax included), driver’s license and completed student parking contract, including parent signature.

Students parking at Glacier Peak High School without parking permits are subject to being towed at owner’s expense without further notice. Sophomore (and freshmen) students found parking at Glacier Peak High School will be ineligible to purchase a parking permit their junior year. Junior or senior students parking at Glacier Peak High School without a parking permit may forfeit their opportunity to purchase a parking permit in the future.
Drivers, we need your assistance. We have many students who have purchased a parking permit at Glacier Peak who arrive at school unable to park. This is due to other students parking at Glacier Peak without possessing a parking permit. While the desire to drive to school is understandable, parking at Glacier Peak is limited and parking without a pass is taking the space of someone who has paid for the privilege. As a result, if you are parking at Glacier Peak without a parking permit, your vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense to allow for those with a permit to park on campus.
