Obtaining A Parking Permit
2023-2024 school year
Seniors planning to park on campus for the school year, please print and complete the parking contract prior to student start-up. You can turn in your completed contract and pay $75 at student sart-up on August 22 and 23. Students will pay for their permit at the cashier station, and will submit their parking contract along with their driver’s license to Mr. McCallum at the parking permit table (which is the last station you will visit at student start-up). If you do not have access to a printer, we will have copies available just inside our front entrance, but realize a parent/guardian must sign the form, so please plan ahead.
Juniors with a driver’s license will be able to sign up for a parking lottery for the remaining spaces through their scheduled registration times. During the start-up dates, interested juniors will report to the parking table at the front office to add their names to the parking lottery list by showing their driver’s license. Students may only sign up if they are in possession of a driver’s license at the time of lottery sign up. Juniors who are unable to attend start-up and would like to have their name added to the parking lottery must provide proof of driver’s license by email or photocopy submitted by self or parent/guardian to Sue Berry by 3 p.m.on August 23. We will not be accepting phone calls adding your student to the list. Specific position on this list will not affect the likelihood of receiving a parking permit (this is not first come/first serve), this will be a random drawing. Lottery results will be posted outside the main office after 1 p.m. on August 25. Students who won the opportunity to purchase a parking permit will be able to do so through September 8, 2023 (1:30 p.m.) by providing payment (*$75), driver’s license and completed student parking contract, including parent signature.
*Please note students who purchase an ASB card at start-up or through September 8, will still be eligible for the discounted parking of $65.
Reminder, if you are parking on campus, please display your parking permit to avoid being fined. If you need a replacement, see Mark McCallum in the Security Office.
Drivers, we need your assistance. We have many students who have purchased a parking permit at Glacier Peak who arrive at school unable to park. This is due to other students parking at Glacier Peak without possessing a parking permit. While the desire to drive to school is understandable, parking at Glacier Peak is limited and parking without a pass is taking the space of someone who has paid for the privilege. As a result, if you are parking at Glacier Peak without a parking permit, your vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense to allow for those with a permit to park on campus.
