Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center

  • The 2024-2025 Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center application opens at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 2. Students can learn more about the programs offered at Sno-Isle through their website or at their Future Student Open House (Thursday, November 2 from 6-8 p.m.).


    Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, located near Paine Field in Everett, is a cooperative effort of 14 local school districts. The purpose of skills centers like Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center is to provide preparatory training, certification, and post-secondary credit to students, who can then choose to continue their education, go straight to work, or both.

    Occupations are organized into broad clusters or “pathways” based on characteristics of the job. The 22 programs offered at Sno-Isle TECH represent these five pathways: Information Technology, Business Marketing & Management, Human Services, Science & Health, and Trade & Industry. Glacier Peak High School & Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center

  • Daily
    Glacier Peak High School students attend Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center in the afternoon. Students attend periods 1-3 at Glacier Peak High School, periods 4-6 are at the Sno-Isle Campus. Sno-Isle is a no-drive school. Students are required to ride the Snohomish School District provided bus. Monday through Friday, the bus leaves Glacier Peak High School campus at 10:55 a.m. and returns to Glacier Peak High School about 2 p.m. 

    Students are responsible for making it to the bus on time. Typically, this means leaving 3rd period a few minutes early. Please discuss this with your 3rd period teacher. Students may leave early to buy lunch. Please leave no earlier than 10:40 a.m. Please set an alarm. There is no bell or announcement for the Sno-Isle bus. This is very important on any day that there is an altered bell schedule. It is the student’s responsibility to report to the bus loop on time.

    Fridays
    Students attend periods 1-3 at Glacier Peak High School. 4th period students remain on campus in the commons or library (location TBD). Students attend A lunch and then proceed to the bus loop for the 10:55 a.m. departure. All Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center students need to provide their own transportation home from Glacier Peak High School on Friday. The Sno-Isle bus returns to Glacier Peak High School  at the regular time of 2 p.m., and Glacier Peak High School is dismissed at 12:12 p.m. We do not have a bus for Sno-Isle students from Glacier Peak High School to their homes on Friday. There is no early release Friday for Sno-Isle students. Students must provide their own transportation home from Glacier Peak High School on Friday.

    Bus ridership
    Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center is a no-drive school. Students may only drive with Sno-Isle permission, Glacier Peak High School principal permission, and parent permission. Students will need to ride the bus to and from Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center unless prior permission has been received. Please do not wait until the day of to obtain permission. 

    Attendance
    If you will be missing school at Glacier Peak High School, please call our attendance line at 360- 563-7505. If you will be missing school at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center please call their absence reporting line 425-348-2222. Excusing an absence at one school does not excuse you at the other. It may also be a good idea to email your Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center instructor.

    Lunch
    You may leave class a few minutes early to buy lunch prior to boarding the Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center bus. Lunch may be eaten on the bus, please clean up after yourself and choose foods which are easy to eat while riding a bus. It is the student’s responsibility to clean up all the garbage and any mess.

    What I miss the bus?
    Call the Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center attendance line and email your instructor. If you do not have permission to go home you will spend periods 4-6 in the College & Career Center or library. 

    What if there is no Sno-Isle TECH on a day that I attend Glacier Peak High School?
    You may sign out of the attendance office after 3rd period indicating that you have permission from your parents/guardians to leave. If you do not have permission or transportation, you may go to the College & Career Center or library periods 4-6.

    What if I have a Glacier Peak High School field trip or special event?
    All school related absences can be excused with a school related absence form. Please obtain a slip from the College & Career Center.

    What do I do on days that there is no school for Snohomish School District, but there is school at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center?
    If we do not have school, there is no transportation to Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center. Your absence is excused at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center. If you wish to attend, you must make arrangements with Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center for a temporary parking pass. This will also be the case for snow days or delayed start. If we cancel transportation, your absence will be excused.
