Note of Thanks

Dear Kids’ Café Friends:

On behalf of the Snohomish School District, I would like to thank you for your help with this year’s Kids’ Café Summer Meal Program. We truly could not have accomplished this without the support and assistance of our community volunteers. This summer, about 148 volunteers (totaling more than 814 volunteer hours) joined us in our effort to feed children and families from our community.

This summer we served 3,424 breakfasts and 9,475 lunches (for a total of 12,899 meals) to young people from our community. In comparison, 11,991 meals were served during the summer of 2023. Of the 12,899 total meals served this summer:

• 6,444 were served at Valley View Middle School
• 4,850 were delivered at the Snohomish Library
• 863 were delivered at Circle H Mobile Home Park
• 742 were delivered at Three Rivers Mobile Home Park

We truly could not have accomplished this without your support and assistance. Your help has allowed us to feed children who may have otherwise gone without. We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we enjoyed working with each of you.

If you need documentation of your volunteer hours for a community service commitment, please send me an email at kristin.foley@sno.wednet.edu noting the days your volunteered. Once the hours are confirmed against the online volunteer registration tool and daily sign-in sheets, I will email you written confirmation of your hours worked so you can receive credit.

Thank you again for your commitment, dedication and for being a part of our Kids’ Café team!  Your efforts have directly impacted the lives of many children and families throughout our community.
