Sexual health education and human growth and development information
5th and 6th grade - Beginning late April, 5th and 6th graders will begin learning about human growth and development (puberty and HIV/AIDS prevention). We would like to invite parents and guardians to attend a district presentation on one of the dates below to learn about what standards, activities, and resources will be addressed and used for the human growth and development lessons. This is also a great opportunity to answer questions that parents might have. The presentations will be held at the district office (1601 Avenue D in Snohomish). For more information, contact Teaching and Learning Services at 360-563-7257.
District presentations (select one to presentation to attend)

Middle school and high school - Community members are invited to review middle school and high school sexual health education materials being considered for adoption. To review the materials, visit the district's Teaching and Learning Services Department at the Resource and Service Center (1601 Avenue D in Snohomish) between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on March 19 to March 30. There is also a community forum on Wednesday, March 21, from 6-7 p.m. at the district office (1601 Avenue D in Snohomish) to provide you with another opportunity to review the materials, hear about the standards that will be taught, and ask questions.
