Garage Sale

  • 4th grade sisters plan garage sale to benefit district's Book Cafe

Two 4th grade sisters from Riverview Elementary in Snohomish have been collecting items and storing them for months for a community garage sale they are coordinating to raise funds for the Snohomish School District'ss Book Cafe program. The sisters conspired the idea on their own and approached the school district in fall 2018 to see if their dream could become a reality. When we heard the news, we were thrilled! The garage sale is set for Friday, February 22, and Saturday, February 23, at the sisters' home on Ludwig Road in Snohomish. Click here to download a flier with additional the details.

The Book Cafe vehicle will be at the garage sale from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23. Those dropping by the sale can check out the vehicle and can also drop off good to gently used preschool/children/teen books. Book donations will be used this summer when the Book Cafe hits the road and neighborhoods again. Chapter books, story books, board books and kids magazines are always needed. Amazon gift cards are also greatly appreciated. Donations and checks can also be made out to Snohomish School District Book Cafe.

Got Books?

  • In a few short weeks, our district's Book Cafe hits the road delivering books to kids throughout our district. The Book Cafe is in need of good to gently used preschool/children/teen books. All of the school libraries in the Snohomish School District are happy to accept book donations and will send them to the Book Cafe. Donations can also be dropped at the district office (1601 Avenue D in Snohomish). Chapter books, story books, board books and kids magazines are always needed. If you have new to gently used soccer equipment, jump ropes and sidewalk chalk, kids who visit the Book Cafe are also in great appreciation of these items as well.
