On behalf of our students, school board and staff in Snohomish School District, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Snohomish community. Your support for the Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy and the Replacement Levy for Technology, Safety and Facility Improvements is invaluable to the education of our students.
 
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our levy proposals. Thank you for making your voices heard. And thank you for supporting our schools. To those who did not vote for these levies, we hope to earn your future support with the transparency of our work and the success of our students.
 
Our levies help fill the gap between what the state funds and what it takes to provide a full and rich learning experience in safe and secure schools for Snohomish School District’s almost 9,300 students. Local dollars make up about 16% of our schools’ total budget. This revenue source truly impacts the quality of education our students receive and provides the opportunity to participate in after-school activities. I’m appreciative of our shared commitment to maintain the funding that helps our students excel and contribute to our community in adulthood.
 
This would not have been possible without the expertise and dedication of our district staff and enthusiastic advocates who care about our schools. Thank you to the many volunteers - parents, staff, and community members - who ensured that friends, family, and neighbors were well-informed, and to those who showed support with their vote. The school board and I thank you all.
