Meet the district’s Student Advisory Council!

Out of nearly 50 interested applicants, 10 students have been selected to serve on the district’s newly formed Student Advisory Council and were introduced at a recent School Board meeting.

Students selected to Student Advisory Council are Gage Campbell and Emma Waltz from AIM High School; Madelyn Ottele, Anna Steiner, Alisha Shaikh, and Christian Martez from Snohomish High School; and Anthony Ilarionov, Addisyn Clarke, Perlita Martinez and Jaymeson Nelson from Glacier Peak High School.

As a district, we want to work to ensure that student voice is heard at all levels, including the School Board, in our district. Students’ needs, interests, ideas and opinions are important in our schools. The 10-person Student Advisory Council (four students from each Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School and two students from AIM High School) will meet once per month to discuss School Board topics and important topics at each of the schools.
