New student enrollment and registration now available online
The Snohomish School District has an online process to enroll and register new students to the district and incoming kindergarten students. This process is only for incoming kindergartners and new students to the district, not students transferring to another school within the district. Prior to using the online application process, families are advised to have the required documents available to upload to the application. You may save as you go and do not have to complete it all in one sitting. The completed application, once submitted online, will be available to the school for approval. Submitted applications will not be approved until all required documents are received by the school.

If needed - downloadable paper copies of the new student registration packet are available below.

Documents
The documents listed below will need to be uploaded during the registration process or brought into the school office. Parent/guardian ID and a signed Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) must be brought into the school.

You will need the following documents ready and will need to upload into the online enrollment and registration application process. You will also need to bring in your parent/guardian photo ID and a signed hardcopy of the verified Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) to the school for verification before your student’s application can be approved.

  • Proof of birth date (birth certificate or passport)
  • Proof of residency – One of the following:
    • A utility bill (gas, water, or electric)
    • Home purchase papers or property tax statement
    • Lease/rental agreement (original)
  • Parenting plan and/or restraining order (if applicable)

Immunization requirements
Beginning August 1, 2020:

If the student is coming from another state, an acceptable medically verified immunization record will be:

  • Printed from their state’s immunization registry, or
  • Printed by the office of their licensed health care provider with the provider’s signature and then attached to a Washington state CIS card.

Click here for more information on Washington state immunization requirements.

Residence verification
The Snohomish School District may only enroll students whose parent(s)/guardian(s) reside within school district boundaries, unless an in-district or choice transfer form has been accepted by the district prior to enrollment.

Proof of residency includes one of the following:

  • A utility bill (gas, water, or electric)
  • Home purchase papers or property tax statement
  • Lease/rental agreement (original)

Attendance boundaries
Students should live within the attendance boundary of a school in order to enroll. Unsure of which school your child will attend? Use our SchoolSite Locator Service. Enter an address and the list of schools for that particular address will pop up:

If a student in the district wants to attend a school outside of their neighborhood attendance boundary, a request for an in-district or choice transfer must be submitted for consideration each year.

If a student is transferring from another school, the parent/guardian must give their consent to transfer records from the student’s previous school. Parents/guardians will need the name, address, and phone number of the previous school to upload into the application.

Transcript or academic history
Students transferring from another school should have their academic records to upload. The application will also ask if the student has been in any special programs in their previous school.
