Serviss elected to School Board

Rob ServissRob Serviss has been elected to fill the Snohomish School District Board of Directors post recently vacated by Dr. Sara Fagerlie. Serviss will be sworn into office at the Wednesday, December 13, School Board meeting.

Serviss resides in the district with his wife Nicole and  their five children. He is a 1995 Snohomish High School graduate and received his Bachelor of Science degree in flight technology from Central Washington University in 2001. Serviss is a local real estate broker and is president of the Swim for Life community organization. He served as the assistant supervisor and aquatic manager at the district’s Snohomish Aquatic Center from 2013-2022 and was a long-time girls’ and boys’ swim coach for Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School.

Serviss noted his focus will include “empowering district staff to work with parents to foster an environment where all children feel safe and eager to learn, and ensuring transparency between schools and homes so that all parents feel confident in the education their children are receiving.”

Fagerlie, who served as the Board Member representing District 2, has been a member of the Snohomish School District School Board of Directors since 2017. She decided not to seek reelection after completion of her current term. The District 2 Board Member position was decided in the November 7, 2023, General Election with Serviss winning the election.
