As a school district, it is very important to us that we continue to cultivate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for all students and staff. To this end, we are implementing extra security measures and protocols around Zoom as indicated below. These extra security measures and protocols will go into effect on Friday, October 9.
Beginning Friday, October 9, students will need to access Zoom, Canvas, Seesaw and other applications through Hello ID. When accessing these applications, please use your default browser (Chrome recommended). Click here for a handout and information on how to access Hello ID. Hello ID is accessible as an icon on the main pages of every school and district webpage.
Further locked security settings being implemented:
The use of virtual backgrounds will not be permitted district wide as of Friday, October 9.
Zoom participants will be unable to rename themselves district wide as of Friday, October 9.
Screen sharing by participants will be turned off. The teacher will be able to enable screen sharing for individual students.
